Job Description:
We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Housekeeper to maintain the cleanliness and orderliness of our retreat house. The Housekeeper will ensure that guest accommodations, common areas, and facilities are kept in pristine condition, providing a comfortable and welcoming environment for all visitors. The ideal candidate must demonstrate honesty, reliability, attention to detail, and a positive attitude in supporting a peaceful retreat experience.
Job Responsibilities:
Cleaning & Maintenance: Perform daily cleaning of guest rooms, bathrooms, dining areas, lounges, and other communal spaces, including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and sanitizing surfaces.
Laundry Services: Handle laundry duties, including washing, drying, folding, and organizing linens, towels, and guest clothing as needed.
Supply Management: Monitor and restock cleaning supplies, toiletries, and linens; notify management when supplies are low.
Facility Upkeep: Report any maintenance issues or damages to management promptly; assist with minor repairs if trained.
Health & Safety: Follow safety, sanitation, and hygiene standards to ensure a safe environment for guests and staff.
Guest Assistance: Respond courteously to guest requests related to cleanliness or amenities.
Organization: Keep storage areas and cleaning carts organized and stocked.
Adherence to Protocols: Follow all retreat house policies and procedures, including COVID-19 and other health-related safety protocols if applicable.
Other Duties: Assist with special cleaning projects or setup for events and retreats as needed.
Job Specification:
Qualifications:
Prior experience in housekeeping, janitorial services, or a related role preferred.
Knowledge of cleaning techniques, sanitation standards, and safety procedures.
Attention to detail and thoroughness in completing tasks.
Good physical stamina and ability to perform manual tasks.
Reliable, punctual, and trustworthy.
Friendly and professional demeanor with good communication skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Flexibility to work early mornings, evenings, weekends, or holidays as required.
Education & Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Experience working in hospitality, guest services, or a retreat setting is advantageous.
