NDMU Graduate School Faculty Joins CHED Zonal Public Hearing on Education Standards for Graduate Business Programs

DAVAO CITY, October 28, 2026 — Three faculty members from the Business Graduate School of Notre Dame of Marbel University (NDMU) attended the Zonal Public Hearing and Consultation on the Proposed Policies, Standards and Guidelines for Graduate Programs in Business Administration, organized by the Commission on Higher Education (CHED).

The NDMU delegation was composed of Dr. Jennifer Era, Program Coordinator, and Doctor of Business Administration (DBA) faculty members Dr. Rean May Galang and Dr. Wilma Mercado.
The consultation served as the Mindanao Cluster leg of CHED's nationwide series of public hearings. It brought together representatives of higher education institutions from Regions X, XI, XII, Caraga and the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM).
During the activity, participants reviewed the proposed guidelines and gave their comments and recommendations before the policy is finalized. The new standards will guide how master's and doctoral programs in business administration are designed, staffed and delivered across the country. Key areas highlighted included leadership, innovation, research, sustainability and ethical business.

The university's participation forms part of its preparation to offer a DBA program. Early familiarity with the proposed standards will help the college align its curriculum, faculty qualifications and research requirements with CHED's expectations.
The initiative supports NDMU's commitment to providing quality graduate business education in South Cotabato and the SOCCSKSARGEN region.
