NDMU Unveils Official Logo for 80th Foundation Anniversary

KORONADAL CITY, South Cotabato — Notre Dame of Marbel University (NDMU) officially unveiled the logo for its upcoming 80th Foundation Anniversary, marking the beginning of a milestone celebration anchored on the theme “80 Years of Mission: A Legacy of Marist Education, A Journey of Hope.”

NDMU's 80th Foundation Anniversary logo featuring an intertwined gold-and-green “80,” the Marist of Champagnat emblem, oak leaves and tree motifs symbolizing the Year of the Oak, and the University seal. The design represents “80 Years of Mission: A Legacy of Marist Education, A Journey of Hope.”

Designed by Nonito Arizaleta Jr., an alumnus of the University's BS Management Accounting program, the anniversary logo captures the spirit of NDMU's eight decades of Marist education and service. At the heart of the design is an intertwined 80, symbolizing continuity, unity, and the enduring mission that has guided the institution since its founding in 1946.

The logo incorporates key elements that reflect NDMU's identity and anniversary theme. The Marist of Champagnat emblem signifies the University's Marist heritage and commitment to the vision of Saint Marcellin Champagnat. The oak leaves and oak tree represent the University's observance of the Year of the Oak, symbolizing strength, resilience, growth, and steadfastness in mission. Meanwhile, the flowing gold accents symbolize NDMU's legacy and journey of hope, connecting its rich past with its aspirations for the future.

Rendered in green and gold, the official institutional colors of NDMU, the logo reflects the values of faith, excellence, service, and hope that have shaped generations of Marists. The inclusion of the University seal further grounds the anniversary celebration in NDMU's rich heritage and enduring commitment to forming competent, compassionate, and committed individuals.

Accompanying the unveiling is a commemorative teaser video edited by Arizaleta and narrated by Philip Jay Leano, an alumnus of the University's BA Psychology program. Together, their contributions highlight the continued involvement of NDMU alumni in advancing and celebrating the University's mission, legacy, and journey of hope as it marks its 80th year.
