NDMU Student Volunteers Champion Youth Leadership and Community Engagement at SOCCSKSARGEN Youth Volunteers Camp and Summit 2026

Eight student volunteers from Notre Dame of Marbel University (NDMU) actively participated in the SOCCSKSARGEN Youth Volunteers Camp and Summit 2026 held from July 23–26, 2026 at Tantangan National High School, Tantangan, South Cotabato. The four-day gathering brought together young leaders and volunteers from across Region XII to strengthen youth engagement, leadership, volunteerism, and community development initiatives.

Representing NDMU were Jhon Francis Alde, John Lloyd Belarmino, Jose Raya Sionosa, Rochie Kyth Lacdo-o, Allea Basas, Aisha Bornales, Rizzamiah Arellano, and Cezzane Elle Uy. The delegation was accompanied by Mrs. Marcia B. Butil, who served as chaperone throughout the event.

The camp and summit provided participants with opportunities to engage in leadership workshops, team-building activities, community service discussions, and volunteerism-focused learning sessions. Through interactive activities and collaborative engagements, the students gained valuable insights into youth leadership, civic responsibility, and community empowerment.

The event also served as a platform for networking and partnership-building among youth organizations, schools, and volunteer groups across the SOCCSKSARGEN Region. Participants exchanged best practices, shared experiences, and explored innovative approaches to addressing community concerns through volunteer action.

NDMU’s participation in the summit reflects the University’s commitment to developing socially responsible leaders who embody the values of service, collaboration, and active citizenship. By engaging in regional volunteer initiatives, NDMU students continue to strengthen their capacity to contribute meaningfully to society and become catalysts for positive change in their communities.
