The Notre Dame of Marbel University (NDMU) has formally strengthened its partnership with the Department of Education (DepEd) City Schools Division for the implementation of the NSTP 2 – Literacy Training Service (LTS) program. The partnership meeting and orientation were held on December 9, 2025, at the NDMU Alumni Center.
The event was headed by Dr. Richard P. Moral Jr., DepEd City Schools Division Reading Coordinator, who led discussions on reading intervention strategies, literacy development frameworks, and alignment of the NSTP-LTS program with DepEd’s reading initiatives.
This collaboration aims to equip NDMU students under NSTP 2–LTS with the necessary skills to assist in literacy instruction across public schools in the division. The partnership also seeks to enhance community involvement and support DepEd’s ongoing campaign to improve reading proficiency among learners.
NDMU and DepEd officials expressed their mutual commitment to fostering effective literacy programs and ensuring that students gain meaningful service-learning experiences through NSTP.
The activity highlights NDMU’s continuous efforts to support local education initiatives and to strengthen its role as a partner institution in community development.
