NDMU Kariktan Dance Troupe Wins PRISAA-SCKAA 2026 Folk Dance Competition, Secures Spot in Regional PRISAA

Notre Dame of Marbel University proudly congratulates the Kariktan Dance Troupe for emerging as champions in the Folk Dance Competition at the PRISAA-SCKAA Local Meet 2026. With this victory, the troupe has advanced to the Regional PRISAA this March 3–7.


The competition was held on February 5, 2026, at the NDMU Gymnasium, where the troupe gave an impressive performance that showed discipline, talent, and love for Filipino culture. Their win reflects the teamwork and dedication of NDMU students in promoting Filipino heritage through dance.


This achievement was made possible through the guidance of their moderator and choreographer, Freia Marie L. Gabriel, LPT, MAEd, whose leadership, creativity, and unwavering support inspired the dancers to perform with excellence. Her commitment played a vital role in shaping the troupe’s success.
