NDMU Strengthens Marist Educators’ Skills Through Basic Counseling and Prefecting Seminar

The Notre Dame of Marbel University (NDMU) successfully held a seminar titled “Listening Hearts, Guiding Hands: Basic Counseling Skills for Marist Educators” on September 9, 2025, at the university campus.
The program began with registration and an opening prayer, followed by the Philippine National Anthem, the NDMU Hymn, and welcome remarks. Mrs. Shayne Sales, MAEd, OIC of the Guidance and Testing Center, introduced the morning resource speaker, Dr. Patrick John M. Lentejas, a licensed school psychologist who delivered a talk on basic counseling skills.
An open forum was held before the lunch break, allowing participants to engage with the speaker and share insights. In the afternoon, The seminar concluded with the awarding of certificates and closing remarks. The event was emceed by Ms. Sheena Calendro and Ms. Eleanor Dagum, RPM, and highlighted NDMU’s commitment to equipping Marist educators with skills essential for guiding and supporting students.
