Notre Dame of Marbel University (NDMU) continues to strengthen its commitment to research excellence and academic collaboration as its representatives participate in the Research Proposal Development and Science Communication Academy – Phase II: Research Proposal Mentoring Bootcamp, held on October 19–20, 2026, at Bukidnon State University in Malaybalay City, Bukidnon.

Representing NDMU are Dr. Michelle F. Capistrano, CPA, Dean of the College of Business, Governance and Accountancy (CBGA); Dr. Wilter C. Friales, Vice President for External Affairs; and Dr. Rean May C. Galang, Program Coordinator of the Business Administration Department.

The seminar and mentoring bootcamp are organized by the Department of Science and Technology–National Research Council of the Philippines (DOST-NRCP), through its Mindanao Regional Cluster, in partnership with Bukidnon State University, under the NRCP Capability Advancement through Scientific Enterprise Development Program (CASCADE).

A key focus of the activity is research proposal development, equipping participants with opportunities to refine research concepts, identify relevant research problems, strengthen their research questions and objectives, and improve the overall quality and direction of their proposals. Through mentoring sessions and academic discussions, participants can gain insights into developing well-structured, feasible, and relevant research proposals that respond to identified gaps and address pressing community and societal concerns.
