NDMU Seals Regional Partnership with ASEAN Accounting Education Workgroup

Notre Dame of Marbel University (NDMU) is now an official member of the ASEAN Accounting Education Workgroup (AAEW) — a regional alliance committed to advancing accounting education, research, and innovation across Southeast Asia.


The Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) was officially signed on October 28, 2025, at CamEd Business School, Cambodia. Representing NDMU were Dean Michelle F. Capistrano, CPA, DBMIS, Dean of the College of Business, Governance, and Accountancy, and Ms. Angel Queen M. Samoraga, CPA, MBA, Assistant Professor of the Accountancy Department, who served as witness to the signing. AAEW was represented by its President, Professor Dr. Rozainun Haji Abdul Aziz, P.M.K., C.A. (M), and witnessed by Dr. Florenz C. Tugas, CPA, CISA, ASEAN CPA, Vice President II of AAEW.


This partnership signifies a remarkable milestone for NDMU, strengthening its commitment to global academic collaboration and continuous quality improvement in accounting education. It aligns with the university’s vision of internationalization, providing greater opportunities for faculty and students to participate in cross-border academic exchanges, joint research, and collaborative learning experiences within the ASEAN region. Through this membership, NDMU aims to engage in regional initiatives that foster professional development, curriculum enhancement, and research collaboration within the ASEAN community.
