KORONADAL CITY – The Notre Dame of Marbel University – Integrated Basic Education Department (NDMU-IBED) will proudly represent the City of Koronadal in the 4th Saot Folk Dance Competition, scheduled on July 10, 2026, at the South Cotabato Gymnasium and Cultural Center as part of the 27th Tnalak Festival celebration.
For the first time, NDMU-IBED will participate in the annual competition, fielding two contingents: the Elementary & Junior High School (ES & JHS) Folk Dance Team in Bracket A and the Senior High School (SHS) Folk Dance Team in Bracket B. The participation marks another opportunity for the University to showcase the talents of its learners while celebrating the richness of Philippine culture.
One of the highlights of the T'nalak Festival, the 4th Saot Folk Dance Competition brings together contingents representing various local government units across South Cotabato in a celebration of Filipino heritage through traditional folk dance. The event serves as a platform for young performers to promote and preserve the country's diverse cultural traditions.
Beyond the competition, NDMU-IBED's participation reflects the University's commitment to holistic education by providing learners with meaningful opportunities to develop their artistic talents, strengthen their confidence and teamwork, and deepen their appreciation of Philippine culture and traditions.
As the official representative of the City of Koronadal, the NDMU-IBED contingents will proudly carry the University's name on one of South Cotabato's biggest cultural stages. The NDMU community invites students, parents, alumni, faculty, staff, and friends to witness the performances and support the young dancers as they celebrate the beauty and diversity of Filipino folk dance.
