BALI, INDONESIA — Research on innovative approaches to medical technology education was presented by Dr. Hazel Granil, Dean of the College of Health Sciences at Notre Dame of Marbel University (NDMU), during the 12th International Conference on Education 2026 held from March 26–28 in Bali, Indonesia.
Dr. Granil shared her study titled “Remote Delivery of RLE in Medical Technology Education: Cases of Teachers and Students,” which examined how educators and learners adapted the delivery of Related Learning Experiences (RLE) through remote and flexible learning modalities.
The research highlighted the strategies used to sustain clinical and laboratory-based training in Medical Technology education despite limitations in face-to-face instruction. It also discussed the challenges encountered and the innovative practices developed by instructors and students to maintain the quality of competency-based learning.
Hosted by The International Institute of Knowledge Management (TIIKM), the international conference brought together scholars and education leaders from around the world to exchange research insights and promote collaboration in advancing education systems.
Dr. Granil’s research presentation contributes to the ongoing global discussion on improving health sciences education and demonstrates Notre Dame of Marbel University’s active participation in international academic platforms.
