Brother Peter Carroll Elected Superior General of the Marist Brothers for Year 2025–2033 at the 23rd General Chapter

Tagaytay, Philippines | September 30, 2025 — In a moment filled with solemnity, unity, and hope, Brother Peter Carroll, from the Star of the Sea Province, has been elected the new Superior General of the Marist Brothers Institute during the 23rd General Chapter, currently being held in Tagaytay, Philippines.

This historic decision marks a defining moment for the global Marist family, as capitulants, delegates from across the world, gathered in an atmosphere of prayer, discernment, and fraternity to listen to the Spirit and choose the Brother who will lead the Institute in the coming years.

The election ceremony, held on September 30, 2025, reflected the deep sense of mission and communion that lies at the heart of the Marist vocation.
