Job Description:

 

We are seeking a dedicated and organized Retreat House Manager to oversee the daily operations and management of our retreat facility. The ideal candidate will ensure a welcoming, peaceful, and smoothly run environment for guests, staff, and volunteers. The Retreat House Manager will coordinate accommodations, oversee staff, manage bookings, maintain facilities, and ensure an exceptional experience for all visitors.

 

Job Responsibilities:


  • Guest Services & Hospitality:  Welcome and assist guests, ensuring their needs are met and their stay is comfortable and enjoyable.

  • Operations Management: Oversee daily operations, including check-in/check-out, facility maintenance, and safety protocols.

  • Booking & Reservations: * Manage reservation system, coordinate group bookings, and handle inquiries professionally.

  • Staff Supervision: Train and supervise staff, assigning duties and ensuring efficient teamwork.

  • Facility Maintenance: Coordinate repairs, cleanliness, and upkeep of the retreat house and surrounding grounds.

  • Financial Management: Handle budgeting, billing, and expense tracking; process payments and maintain financial records.

  • Program Coordination: Assist the planning for retreats, workshops, or events hosted at the facility.

  • Compliance & Safety: Ensure that all health, safety, and environmental standards are upheld; and emergency procedures are maintained.

  • Community Engagement: Foster a welcoming and peaceful environment that aligns with the retreat’s mission and values.

  • Reporting: Prepare regular reports on occupancy, maintenance, and financial status for management.

 

 

Job Specification:


  • Proven experience in hospitality, facility management, or a similar role.

  • Excellent organizational and leadership skills.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and problem-solve effectively.

  • Familiarity with booking systems and basic financial management.

  • Knowledge on safety and health regulations.

  • Passion for creating a welcoming environment and supporting community well-being.

  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, or holidays as needed.


Education & Experience:


  • Graduate of hospitality management, or related fields preferred.

  • Prior experience managing a retreat, guesthouse, or similar facility is advantageous.
