Br. Paterno S. Corpus, FMS, University President, and Dr. Joan P. Palma, Vice President for Academics of Notre Dame of Marbel University, represented the institution at the prestigious EDGE 2025 Conference by PowerSchool, held at the JW Marriott in Nashville, Tennessee, from July 22 to 25, 2025.
Br. Pat and Dr. Palma joined 15 participants from the Philippines in this global education summit, made possible through the generous sponsorship of Rex Education. The event brought together hundreds of education leaders, technologists, and administrators from around the world under the theme “Instrumental Impact: Data and Leadership in Education.”
EDGE 2025 served as a powerful platform for advancing NDMU’s internationalization efforts. Through interactive breakout sessions, roundtable discussions, and strategic networking events, the conference highlighted global best practices and cutting-edge digital innovations, many of which are relevant across both basic and higher education sectors. Participants engaged in thought-provoking dialogues on the future of data-driven leadership, inclusive learning environments, and the transformative role of educational technologies like Schoology.
“Attending EDGE 2025 allowed us to benchmark with global institutions and identify actionable strategies that can strengthen our academic delivery and institutional leadership,” said Dr. Palma. “It also opens doors for future international collaborations.”
With a strong emphasis on cross-cultural learning and leadership synergy, the EDGE Conference continues to provide a launchpad for Filipino educational institutions like NDMU to expand their global academic footprint and deepen their engagement in international education networks.
NDMU’s participation reinforces its commitment to academic excellence, global competency, and the meaningful integration of technology in education.
