Making history for NDMU, Jane Heart S. Cabahug and Denmark F. Umipig captured their fourth consecutive Regional PRISAA championship at the Dancesport Competition held last March 5, 2026, at the NDTC Gymnasium in Tacurong City.

The duo dominated multiple categories, winning Best in Slow Waltz, Best in Tango, Best in Viennese Waltz, and Best in Quickstep, securing the championship in Modern Standard Dancesport—marking NDMU’s fourth straight victory at the regional level. With this historic streak, they will represent Region 12 at the upcoming National PRISAA Competition.

Their coaches, Christian John A. Agustin and Roger A. Villaruz, praised their discipline, consistency, and dedication, which have been key to maintaining the winning streak.

Meanwhile, John Basil F. Bangelis and Chloe Charisse A. Arandallo also impressed in the Modern Standard Dancesport category, earning the 2nd Runner-up title and highlighting the depth of talent in the region.
