NDMU-IBED Speech and Debate Club Captures Championship in Koronadal Youth Festival 2026 Asian Parliamentary Debate Competition

The Notre Dame of Marbel University – Integrated Basic Education Department (NDMU-IBED) Speech and Debate Club emerged as Champion in the Asian Parliamentary Debate Competition held as part of the City of Koronadal Youth Festival 2026 at the City Hall Lobby of the City Government of Koronadal.

Demonstrating outstanding critical thinking, teamwork, and public speaking skills, the NDMU-IBED team outperformed three other competing teams to secure the championship title.


Representing NDMU-IBED were:

  • Klein Dale Tolondon

  • Eunie Rose Sabino


The team was coached by Adrian Pete M. Pregonir, whose guidance and mentorship helped prepare the debaters for the highly competitive event.

The competition followed the Asian Parliamentary Debate Format, challenging participants to analyze contemporary issues, construct persuasive arguments, and engage in intellectual discourse under time pressure. Through their strong reasoning, eloquence, and teamwork, the NDMU-IBED debaters consistently impressed the adjudicators throughout the competition.

The victory highlights NDMU-IBED's commitment to nurturing young leaders, effective communicators, and critical thinkers. It also reflects the school's continuing dedication to excellence beyond the classroom through active participation in academic and leadership competitions.


As champions of the City of Koronadal Youth Festival 2026 Asian Parliamentary Debate Competition, the NDMU-IBED Speech and Debate Club brings pride and honor to the Notre Dame of Marbel University community, showcasing the talent and potential of Marist learners on the local stage.
