NDMU Faculty Receives Special Recognition for Championing Eco-Conscious Community Development

Mr. Jurdy R. Quijance, MS, a faculty member of Environmental Science Program under the Natural Sciences and Mathematics Department of Notre Dame of Marbel University, was given a Special Recognition Award for his outstanding contribution to eco-conscious community development.

His project, “Ecokwentuhan: Nurturing Eco-Minds, Inspiring Eco-Actions,” exemplifies his dedication to fostering environmental awareness and sustainable practices within communities. The initiative was showcased during the SOX Young Minds Convergence held on October 8, 2025, at Cinco Niñas, Koronadal City, organized by the Department of Environment and Natural Resources – Environmental Management Bureau (DENR-EMB) Region XII.

This recognition highlights Mr. Quijance’s role as an inspiring environmental advocate and educator, embodying NDMU’s mission of forming socially responsible and environmentally conscious leaders.
