Koronadal City, September 10, 2025 — Demonstrating its unwavering commitment to social responsibility and community engagement, Notre Dame of Marbel University (NDMU)—the lone university in the city—conducted a library extension service at Mary Land School, Inc., City of Koronadal. The initiative, handled by the university’s Library and Educational Media Center (EMC) personnel in coordination with the Office of Community Extension/Peace and Environment, is a proactive outreach effort that responds directly to Mary Land School, Inc.’s request for assistance. The extension service aims to enhance library practices at the school, ensuring that the library effectively supports students' academic needs while also equipping school administrators, faculty, and the library teacher with organization standards that comply with those set by accrediting agencies.

NDMU’s dedicated team, composed of Mrs. Teodora L. Tuburan, who spearheaded the input and lecture sessions, Mrs. Pearl Joy P. Villanueva, Mrs. Marites I. Huqueriza, Ms. Jennie C. Lorono, Mrs. Destine M. Salvatierra, and Mrs. Jennifer A. Tidula led hands-on sessions to guide the Mary Land School, Inc. library in charge in effective library management and organization. Mr. Ryan A. Aguilar and Mr. Ian C. Oliveros provided technical support and documentation, ensuring the program’s smooth delivery. Through this one-day extension service, NDMU hopes to inspire other institutions in Koronadal and neighboring areas to prioritize the development of their own libraries, ultimately upholding and advancing the Philippine library standards.

As the city’s sole university, NDMU continues to serve as a beacon of educational leadership, promoting meaningful partnerships that benefit the broader community and uphold its mission of service, excellence, and transformation.
