NDMU Announces New Scholarship Program for Incoming College of Education Students

Notre Dame of Marbel University with the aim to produce high-quality teachers to create high impact to the educational system of the Philippines offers the Bro. Francois Educational Scholarship. This is granted to incoming first year students who would like to pursue Teacher Education in Notre Dame of Marbel University.
As a responsive and relevant academic institution, NDMU addresses the demand for quality teacher education to ensure quality Filipino learners of the future. While this scholarship puts premium to Mathematics and Sciences specialization as a response to the emerging demands in the delivery of the Basic Education Curriculum, it similarly addresses the need to produce Marist teachers who are competent in their fields of discipline.
QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Graduated SHS Students from either public or private schools in the Philippines.
2. Graduated with honors (Highest, High and With Honors) or at least belong to the top 10% of the graduating class in terms of average.
3. SHS Grade point average of at least 85%.
4. Entrance Exam:
a. School Ability Index (OLSAT) should be at least 85% and above
b. Teaching Aptitude Test (TAT) should 30 points and above
REQUIREMENTS:
1. Photocopy of SHS Report Card
2. Honors Certificate from the school principal or Certification that the applicant belongs to the top 10% of the graduating students.
3. Good moral certificate
4. OLSAT and TAT exam results from the Guidance and Testing Center
1. Interview with the scholarship committee
GUIDELINES AND BENEFITS
1. Br. Francois Educational Scholarship is intended for incoming first year student who opts to enroll in any Education Program of Notre Dame of Marbel University
2. The scholarship has two (2) categories.
a. Category A is intended for BSED Mathematics and Science. The scholar shall enjoy 75% tuition fee discount until graduation.
b. Category B is intended for all other education programs (BSED, BEED and BPED) except BSED RE. The scholar shall enjoy 40% tuition fee discount until graduation.
3. The scholar is required to carry a full semestral load as prescribed in the curriculum.
4. Shifting to another non-education course forfeits the scholarship grant.
5. The scholar is bound by the retention policy of the College of Education.
