Job Title: ICT Staff

Job Start Date: July 2026

Job Status: Full-time Probationary


Job Description:

  •  Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot computer hardware, software, and peripheral devices.

  • Provide technical assistance and support to faculty, staff, and students regarding ICT-related concerns.

  • Monitor and maintain the institution's network infrastructure, internet connectivity, and communication systems.

  • Assist in the administration and maintenance of servers, databases, CCTV system and in-house information systems.

  • Assist in the management of domain, email and internet users.

  • Assist in the design and development of multimedia content for digital and print platform.

  • Assist with data backup, disaster recovery planning, and implementation.

  • Perform preventive maintenance and repair of ICT equipment and related facilities.

  • Ensure the security and integrity of institutional data through the implementation of established ICT policies, procedures and industry standard best practices

  • Maintain accurate records of ICT assets (inventory), service requests, repairs, and maintenance activities.

  • Assist in the implementation of ICT projects, system upgrades, and ICT technology initiatives.

  • Assist in the conduct of basic user orientation and training on institutional systems and ICT resources.

  • Prepare technical reports, documentation, and recommendations related to ICT operations.

  • Perform other ICT-related duties as may be assigned by the Head of the ICT Department.

 

Job Specification:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, Electronics Engineering, or other related fields.

  • 1-2 years of demonstrable experience as an IT Staff or in technical support, system analysis, network administration, multimedia development or a related role.

  • Knowledge of computer hardware, software, networking, information systems, CCTV system, and multimedia development software (Adobe Design Software) and other related tools.

  • Knowledge of network administration protocols, firewalls, security and data protection best practices.

  • Knowledge of computing platforms (Microsoft Azure, Active Directory and Google Workspace).

  • Knowledge of web development, deployment and management (HTML, PHP, JavaScript, Python and other web development languages and framework)

  • Proficient in operating systems (Windows and Linux) and network technologies.

  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills for hardware, network and software issues.

  • Attention to detail and organizational skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently.

  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.

  • Preferably with relevant training, certifications, or experience in ICT support and network administration.
