Job Status: Full-time Probationary
Job Description:
Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot computer hardware, software, and peripheral devices.
Provide technical assistance and support to faculty, staff, and students regarding ICT-related concerns.
Monitor and maintain the institution's network infrastructure, internet connectivity, and communication systems.
Assist in the administration and maintenance of servers, databases, CCTV system and in-house information systems.
Assist in the management of domain, email and internet users.
Assist in the design and development of multimedia content for digital and print platform.
Assist with data backup, disaster recovery planning, and implementation.
Perform preventive maintenance and repair of ICT equipment and related facilities.
Ensure the security and integrity of institutional data through the implementation of established ICT policies, procedures and industry standard best practices
Maintain accurate records of ICT assets (inventory), service requests, repairs, and maintenance activities.
Assist in the implementation of ICT projects, system upgrades, and ICT technology initiatives.
Assist in the conduct of basic user orientation and training on institutional systems and ICT resources.
Prepare technical reports, documentation, and recommendations related to ICT operations.
Perform other ICT-related duties as may be assigned by the Head of the ICT Department.
Job Specification:
Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, Electronics Engineering, or other related fields.
1-2 years of demonstrable experience as an IT Staff or in technical support, system analysis, network administration, multimedia development or a related role.
Knowledge of computer hardware, software, networking, information systems, CCTV system, and multimedia development software (Adobe Design Software) and other related tools.
Knowledge of network administration protocols, firewalls, security and data protection best practices.
Knowledge of computing platforms (Microsoft Azure, Active Directory and Google Workspace).
Knowledge of web development, deployment and management (HTML, PHP, JavaScript, Python and other web development languages and framework)
Proficient in operating systems (Windows and Linux) and network technologies.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills for hardware, network and software issues.
Attention to detail and organizational skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
Preferably with relevant training, certifications, or experience in ICT support and network administration.
