Notre Dame of Marbel University Prepares for Autonomous Re-Application Through CHED XII-Led Training

The Notre Dame of Marbel University conducted an Orientation and Training on the New Policies, Standards, and Guidelines on Autonomous Certification on May 26, 2026, at the BRC Dining Hall. The activity was organized in preparation for the university’s re-application for autonomous status.
The event gathered university administrators, faculty members, and personnel to strengthen their understanding of the updated requirements and processes related to autonomous certification.
The program formally opened with the registration and checking of attendance at 8:30 in the morning, followed by an opening prayer led by the CMRE. A welcome message was delivered by Br. Paterno S. Corpus, FMS, University President, who emphasized the importance of collaboration and institutional commitment in sustaining excellence in higher education.
The orientation proper was facilitated by Dr. Annabelle Dafielmoto from CHED Region XII, who discussed the new policies, standards, and guidelines governing autonomous certification. Participants were given insights into the criteria, compliance measures, and institutional preparations necessary for the university’s re-application process.
After the lunch break, the activity resumed with the continuation of the orientation, followed by a workshop and open forum where participants were able to raise questions and clarify concerns regarding the implementation of the updated guidelines.
