Koronadal City, September 3, 2025 – Notre Dame of Marbel University (NDMU) warmly welcomed the Marist Brothers Delegates of the 23rd Marist General Chapter this morning. University President, Bro. Paterno S. Corpus, FMS, personally received the international delegates and led them on a campus and office tour, underscoring the strong partnership that continues to unite the Marist family in education and service to the youth.

The Marist General Chapter, convened every eight years, is the highest decision-making body of the Marist Institute. Each delegate is called by the Superior General and his Council to contribute their knowledge, experience, and perspective to this international assembly. Their presence enriches the Chapter with diverse voices and fresh insights, broadening the horizon of dialogue and discernment for the Marist mission today.

The 23rd General Chapter will take place in Tagaytay City from September 8 to October 8, 2025, with the theme “Home for All, River of Life.” This global gathering will bring to a close the eight-year service of the current Superior General and Council, while also defining the future direction of the Institute. Central to its mission is a renewed zeal for bringing Christ’s message to children and young people throughout the world.

Through visits such as this, NDMU reaffirms its deep roots in the Marist tradition, keeping alive the vision of Saint Marcellin Champagnat to offer quality Catholic education and to live out fraternity and mission in today’s world.
