Pursuing the goal of reviving and advancing its Green University Program, Notre Dame of Marbel University (NDMU) continues to reinforce its sustainability efforts through the Marist Ecology Program, first launched in 2023 and strengthened further in 2024.

NDMU hosted the Marist Ecology Meeting, facilitated by the Center for Peace and Environment (CPE) with the assistance of the Peacebuilders Organization. The session was led by Mr. Jose Nacianceno, Campus Minister and Religious Education Coordinator from Marist School, Marikina, who shared valuable insights on sustaining ecological commitment within Marist institutions.

The meeting gathered representatives from the Integrated Basic Education Department (IBED) and various College Departments whose offices are directly engaged in sustainability and environmental initiatives. Mr. Nacianceno’s visit marked part of his ongoing engagement with other Marist institutions across Mindanao, strengthening the network’s collective ecological advocacy.

This initiative underscores NDMU’s unwavering dedication to sustaining the Green University Program—a living testament to the university’s continuous effort to address environmental challenges and promote ecological consciousness across the Marist community.
