The recent two-day engagement in Mindanao, from March 16 to 17, 2024, saw the Notre Dame of Marbel University Peacebuilders Organization join forces with distinguished Hubert H. Humphrey Fellows alumni to advocate for peace and integrity in the region. The event commenced with high-level discussions focusing on the critical relationship between sustainable peace, ethical governance, and the institutional commitment to combating organized crime, corruption, and bribery.
This intellectual exchange reinforced the core values of integrity and transparency that NDMU formally upholds in its official governance policies. The initiative culminated with a tangible act of community service on the second day in Barangay T'konel, Lake Sebu, South Cotabato. By extending direct assistance to this indigenous community, the collaboration demonstrated a comprehensive approach to peace-building that integrates intellectual rigor and policy advocacy with grassroots compassion and social responsibility.
This merged effort underscored a dual commitment: to ethical standards in public life and to building a brighter future founded on understanding and support for the marginalized.
