The Notre Dame of Marbel University (NDMU), through the leadership of its Department of Medical Technology, reinforces its mission of service and compassion by spearheading the ICARE Program, a university-driven initiative promoting community health, hygiene, and disease prevention.

Conducted from January to July 2024, the ICARE Program (Coverage, Awareness, and Relief Extension) embodies NDMU’s institutional commitment to its core values of Character, Competence, and Culture, uniting students, faculty, and partner organizations in the campaign for community well-being.

Under the ICARE 2.0 banner, NDMU students organized health awareness drives, handwashing demonstrations, and parasite infection prevention activities across various partner communities. These efforts aimed to empower local residents through accessible health education and direct service, reflecting the university’s broader advocacy for holistic wellness and social responsibility.

Through this initiative, NDMU as a whole stands as a catalyst for transformative health education, translating classroom learning into compassionate action that uplifts lives and strengthens community resilience.
