Notre Dame of Marbel University (NDMU), the Academic Institution Partner of the Ten Outstanding Students of the Philippines (TOSP) Region XII, hosted the Re-launching and Orientation Program for the 59th TOSP Search on June 24, 2026. The activity gathered representatives from eleven higher education institutions across Region XII to formally commence the regional search for outstanding student leaders.

The re-launching program was spearheaded by the TOSP Regional Executive Committee (REXECOM), chaired by Dr. Florenz C. Tugas, CPA, who emphasized the continuing mission of TOSP in recognizing young leaders who exemplify academic excellence, leadership, social responsibility, and service to the community.
Participating institutions included Notre Dame of Dadiangas University, St. Alexius College, Notre Dame of Tacurong College, Southern Christian College, Southern Mindanao Institute of Technology, Sultan Kudarat State University, Green Valley College Foundation, Inc., Kidapawan Doctors College, Santo Niño College Foundation Incorporated, University of Southern Mindanao, and Notre Dame of Marbel University.

The orientation provided participating institutions with a comprehensive overview of the TOSP Program, including its rich history, purpose, guiding framework, nomination procedures, screening process, eligibility requirements, and criteria for selecting regional awardees. The activity also served as a venue for higher education institutions to better understand their role in identifying and nominating deserving student leaders who demonstrate excellence both inside and outside the classroom.
As outlined in the regional calendar of activities, the nomination period for the 59th TOSP Search runs from May to July 2026, followed by screening, formation, judging, and awarding activities at the regional level. Regional awardees will advance to the national search, where they will undergo another rigorous process of evaluation and formation alongside outstanding student leaders from across the country. The national program culminates in the prestigious awarding ceremonies at Malacañang Palace, where national awardees are formally recognized for their exemplary contributions to society and nation-building.
Through its partnership with TOSP Region XII, NDMU reaffirms its commitment to developing transformational student leaders who embody competence, character, and a spirit of service. The university likewise joins TOSP in its mission of inspiring Filipino youth to become catalysts of positive change in their communities and the nation.

The 59th TOSP Search continues a distinguished tradition of honoring the country's most outstanding student leaders, recognizing not only academic achievement but also leadership, integrity, social engagement, and commitment to the common good.
