NDMU Faculty Mentor Successful Teaching Demonstrations of MLC Teachers in Thailand

Teachers of the Marist Learning Center (MLC) in Thailand successfully conducted a series of teaching demonstrations as part of the Capacity-Building Program, with guidance and mentoring from faculty members of Notre Dame of Marbel University.
The activity was led by Dr. Ma. Magdalena F. Cobrador, Dean of the College of Education of NDMU, together with Dr. Wilter C. Friales, who served as one of the mentors. They were joined by a team of faculty mentors composed of Mrs. Aneyl Romero, Dr. Caroline Abaigar, Mr. John Paul Pendon, and Mrs. Leofer Roxas.
The teaching demonstrations provided MLC teachers the opportunity to showcase their classroom practices and apply key teaching principles discussed during the training. Each demonstration reflected the teachers’ efforts to integrate effective communication skills, the art of questioning, classroom management, values integration and appropriate teaching strategies in delivering their lessons.
Following each demonstration, the NDMU faculty mentors offered constructive feedback and mentoring, focusing on enhancing clarity of instruction, improving questioning techniques, strengthening classroom engagement, and refining instructional strategies. The feedback sessions were conducted in a supportive and collaborative environment, allowing teachers to reflect on their practices and identify areas for improvement.
The activity highlighted the professional growth and readiness of MLC teachers, as well as their openness to learning and continuous improvement. The successful conduct of the teaching demonstrations also reflected the strong partnership between NDMU and the Marist Learning Center in promoting quality education and teacher development.
Through this initiative, NDMU continues to affirm its commitment to teacher formation and capacity-building, contributing to the shared mission of delivering meaningful and effective learning experiences for students.
