NDMU Commemorates Its 79th Foundation Anniversary: A Haven of Hope, A Home of Creation

Koronadal City, South Cotabato — Notre Dame of Marbel University (NDMU) joyfully marked its 79th Foundation Anniversary on October 3, 2025, with a day filled with meaningful activities that reflected the institution’s Marist values of faith, service, and community. The celebration began at dawn with an Advocacy Run participated in by students, personnel, and alumni, followed by a Holy Mass, a Worship Service for Non-Catholics, and a Blessing of Pets, symbolizing inclusivity and the harmony of all creation under one faith community.

The program proper at the Reviewing Stand featured spirited performances from the NDMU Tambuli Singers, Marist Symphonic Band, and the NDMU Elementary Department, along with messages from Dr. Joan P. Palma, Vice President for Academics, and representatives of the Marist Laity, Mr. Manuel Gomez and Ms. Ana Isabel Saborio. Field demonstrations from the NDMU-IBED Elementary to Senior High Departments, Socio-Cultural Performing Arts Group, and Physical Education Fitness Society showcased the talents and teamwork of the Notre Dame community. The event concluded with a Community Dance, a Closing Message from Engr. Rolly S. Tambe, and a festive Campus Picnic and Sports Tournament, celebrating 79 years of NDMU’s enduring legacy of character, competence, and culture.
