To support global learning, Civil Engineering students from the College of Engineering, Architecture, and Computing of Notre Dame of Marbel University participated in an educational tour to gain international exposure and professional growth. On April 29, 2026, during the third day of their trip, they visited King Mongkut’s University of Technology Thonburi (KMUTT) in Thailand.

During the visit, students explored KMUTT’s Department of Civil Engineering, known for its focus on research, innovation, and advanced education. The tour introduced them to modern facilities and advanced laboratories that meet international engineering standards.
Students toured several specialized laboratories, including the Structural Engineering Laboratory, where they observed equipment for testing material strength and structural behavior. They explored the Water Resources Engineering Laboratory, which displays hydraulic models for studying fluid flow and water management. In the Geotechnical Engineering Laboratory, students learned about soil testing and foundation analysis, with emphasis on the role of ground behavior in engineering design.
Students also learned about the various areas of civil engineering offered at KMUTT, including structural, geotechnical, water resources, transportation engineering, surveying, and construction management. This helped them understand the discipline better and see the many career paths available.

The visit showed how KMUTT’s facilities support research and real-world engineering solutions. This enhanced students' technical knowledge and inspired them to pursue excellence and innovation in their careers.
This experience highlights the university’s commitment to learning beyond the classroom. It helps students gain global perspectives, practical knowledge, and skills for success in civil engineering.
