NDMU Accounting Educators Elected to nACPAE Board of Trustees

Notre Dame of Marbel University (NDMU) proudly announces the election of two of its esteemed faculty members to the Board of Trustees of the National Association of Certified Public Accountants in Education (nACPAE) for Fiscal Year 2025–2026.

 

Dr. Michelle F. Capistrano, CPA, DBMIS, Dean of the College of Business, Governance, and Accountancy, has been elected as Vice President for Professional Development, while Ms. Angel Queen M. Samoraga, CPA, MBA, Assistant Professor of the Accountancy Department, has been elected as Treasurer. The election of both educators to national leadership positions took place during the 32nd Accounting Teachers’ Conference held on June 19–21, 2025, in Baguio City.

 

This achievement represents a significant milestone not only for NDMU but also for the accounting education community in the South Cotabato region. Both educators are known for their commitment to advancing quality education and professional development among accountancy students and educators.

 

The formal oathtaking ceremony was conducted on July 12, 2025, at Ateneo de Davao University, with Hon. Noe G. Quiñanola, Chair of the Professional Regulatory Board of Accountancy, serving as the Inducting Officer.

 

This recognition highlights NDMU’s continued contribution to national initiatives in accounting education, further strengthening its role in shaping competent and ethical future professionals in the field. Their leadership is expected to strengthen nACPAE’s goals of upholding professional growth, collaborative engagement, and academic excellence across the country’s accounting education landscape.
