The NDMU–College of Business, Governance, and Accountancy (CBGA) proudly celebrates the achievement of two of its faculty members, Mr. Mark Edzon A. Bello, MBA, CPA, CMITAP, and Ms. Chimes Carie Carreon, CMITAP, for successfully attaining accreditation from the Capital Market Institute of the Philippines (CMIP) during the 18th run of the Capital Market Investment Teaching Accreditation Program (CMITAP) held on July 21–25, 2025.
This accreditation grants the post-nominal title Capital Market Investment Teaching Accredited Professional (CMITAP) to qualified individuals.
During the closing program, Mr. Bello was recognized as Top 1 of the batch, earning Accredited status with the Highest Distinction. He was awarded a medal and delivered the valedictory address. Mr. Bello and Ms. Carreon were also recognized as the Top Gainers in the CMITAP Stock Trading Challenge.
Their success stands as a testament to their commitment as Marist Business Educators and serves as an inspiration to the entire NDMU community in upholding the values of competence, character, and culture.
This marks the second consecutive year that the College has produced CMITAP-accredited teachers, following the achievements of Dr. Rean May C. Galang, DBA, CMITAP, and Ms. Angel Queen M. Samoraga, MBA, CPA, CMITAP, who both ranked Top 2 in the 17th run of the program in 2024.
With this milestone, CBGA now has a total of four (4) CMITAP-certified faculty members. Mr. Bello is a full-time faculty member in the Department of Accountancy, while Ms. Carreon serves as a full-time faculty member in the Department of Business Administration.
