Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering

The Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering (BSCE) at Notre Dame of Marbel University (NDMU) is a five-year program that prepares students to plan, design, construct, and maintain infrastructure projects that support modern life. These include roads, bridges, buildings, water systems, and other critical facilities. The curriculum emphasizes a balance between theoretical knowledge and practical application, covering structural engineering, geotechnical engineering, transportation, water resources, construction management, and sustainability. BSCE students are trained to be socially responsible engineers who uphold safety, ethics, and environmental stewardship in all aspects of their profession.

Program Objectives

Graduates of the BS Civil Engineering program are expected to:

  1. Apply civil engineering principles to design and manage infrastructure projects that are safe, efficient, and sustainable.

  2. Use modern tools, techniques, and industry standards in solving complex engineering problems.

  3. Demonstrate strong analytical, technical, and leadership skills in multidisciplinary project environments.

  4. Uphold professional ethics, public safety, and environmental responsibility in engineering practice.

  5. Engage in research and lifelong learning to address emerging challenges in infrastructure and construction.

  6. Communicate effectively and contribute meaningfully to community development and nation-building.
