SAINT MARCELLIN CHAMPAGNAT AWARD

This is awarded to a student who has rendered exemplary performance. He/She must have been intensely involved in community service, extra and co-curricular activities, must have above average academic performance and must have good moral character.

He/She must have a residence of four years and he/she must have no grade below 80% and no subject dropped or withdrawn.

Criteria for Evaluation

Scholastic Achievement 20 pts.
Leadership: In Campus and Off Campus 60 pts.
Church Activities 20 pts.
Resource Speaker/ Facilitator 5 pts.
Citations received other than academics 5 pts.
Character 20 pts.
Total 130 pts.

SMC award nominees must satisfy at least 90% of the criteria.

LEADERSHIP AWARD

This award is given to a student who throughout his / her stay at NDMU has been outstanding in leadership, has manifested a good moral character and has a satisfactory academic performance. He / She must have no failing grades.

Criteria for Evaluation

Scholastic Achievement 20 pts.
Leadership: In Campus and Off Campus 95 pts.
Leadership Skills 25 pts.
Character 20 pts.
Total 160 pts.

THE HONOR SOCIETY AWARD

This award is given to a graduating student who is a member of the Honor's Society and topped his year level based on the average computation of the first and second semester grades of the school year.

CAMPUS JOURNALISM AWARD

This is awarded to students who have significantly contributed to the upliftment of campus journalism. Its significance has something to do with the welfare of the students, of the school and the community as a whole.

The recipient must have no failing grades and has at least four (4) years experience in campus journalism in Notre Dame of Marbel University.

Criteria for Evaluation

Character 20 pts.
Quality of articles published 70 pts.

    - news item

    - 10 pts.

    - literary

    - 10 pts.

    - columns

    - 30 pts.

    - editorials

    - 20 pts.
Leadership 10 pts.
Total 100 pts.

Nominees for Campus Journalism must satisfy at least 80% of the criteria.

THE LOYALTY AWARD

The Loyalty award is given to students who completed their schooling at Notre Dame of Marbel University, or at any school run by the Marist Brothers, from the first grade of their elementary school, then through high school and finally college.

OUTSTANDING ATHLETE OF THE YEAR: Male and Female Categories.

This award is given to an athlete (one male and one female) who had shown excellent performance in athletic events. He/She must have no failing grades.

Criteria for Evaluation

Academic Achievement 10 pts.
Skills and Attitude 135 pts.
Participation in Athletic Meets 62 pts.
Awards received in sports 25 pts.
