The Student Services comprises a variety of non-academic support services and activities offered by the school to provide suitable climate of learning in the campus and to integrate these efforts into the total educative process.
These services also help the students meet their basic needs and facilitate their personal and social development as human beings and as students.
The following are the services offered by the school to students:
1. Financial Aid
To provide financial support for the financially needy but academically deserving students, the University created the Grant-In-Aid program.
A grant-in-aid student is allowed a maximum of 21 units and works for Notre Dame of Marbel University in not more than four (4) hours a day, six days a week. Although no cash is given as compensation, the equivalent monthly credit due him is entered in his student ledger card.
In this way, the student can pay all his school accounts. Should he earn more than what is due for his accounts, he will receive the balance as a cash bonus at the end of the semester. Grant-in-aid students must maintain a grade average of 85% or higher with no failing grade.
These students who maintain higher marks are given priority for available part-time employment on campus. Aspirants, with lower grades, maybe hired as working students only if there are no available Grant-In-Aid students to perform the jobs.
While in the program, the grant-in-aid student is trained in skills such as carpentry, masonry, plumbing, typing, electrical repairs, bookbinding, horticulture, accounting, etc. The grant-in-aid program is administered by a program director.
2. Library Services
The Notre Dame of Mmarbel University Library is located on the second floor of San Lorenzo Ruiz Hall.
It has a collection of approximately 55,000 volumes of books and bound periodicals and is currently subscribing to 150 titles of local and foreign journals and magazines.
