Academic honors are awarded to students in recognition of superior scholarship. To qualify for the academic awards, a student must have:
- Obtained the required number of units in Religious Education.
- Carried a normal load as prescribed in the curriculum or at least 18 units per semester.
- Obtained satisfactory grades (80 and above) in ROTC.
- Dropped no subject during the entire curriculum year.
- Shown an exemplary character as a student of Notre Dame of Marbel University.
The following honors are awarded to deserving graduates.
Summa Cum Laude - Awarded to graduates with a general point average of 95% or higher, provided no grade was lower than 90%, and provided further that the entire four-year course was taken at Notre Dame of Marbel University.
Magna Cum Laude - Awarded to graduates with a general grade point average of 93% or higher provided that no mark was lower than 88%. A three-year residence at Notre Dame of Marbel University immediately preceding graduation is required.
Cum Laude - Awarded to graduates with a general grade point average of 90% or higher provided that no mark was lower than 85%, and the last two-years of the course were completed at Notre Dame of Marbel University. |
