The University’s Student Assistance Program otherwise known as the Grant-In-Aid (GIA) Program provides opportunities for the financially needy but academically deserving students to obtain a college education.
The GIA program is a partnership between the university and the student assistants characterized by the spirit of giving.
For more than a decade now, the Notre Dame of Marbel University-Grant In Aid program provides the opportunity, while the financially needy students provide their services and willingness to sacrifice their comfort, time and energy to obtain a Christian, Notre Dame and Marist education.
A Grant-In-Aid grantee works for a minimum of 96 hours or 4 hours a day for 6 days a week. The stipend they receive goes to their school account.
While in the program, the GIA student is trained with varied skills such as carpentry, masonry, painting, electrical repairs and other jobs.
She/He is also given the opportunity to obtain a valuable campus work experience in line with his/her field of interest.
The Grant-In-Aid program is administered by a Program Director. |
