The College of Science and Technology programs are designed to provide students the solid foundation in the Breeder Sciences such as Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Mathematics upon which the Engineering, Agriculture, Computer Science and Technology courses are built and developed.

Also integrated in the programs are a wide range of General Liberal Education courses in Humanities, Social Sciences and Christian Education.

The Breeder Sciences are instrumental in developing the systematic, logical and critical thinking in students which are essential in the conduct of scientific research and in the mastery of skills required in the fields of Engineering and Technology.

On the other hand, the General Liberal Education nurtures the cultural, social and moral fiber of students as they grow in their profession to be mature and responsible scientists, engineers and technologists.

These programs are all geared toward producing Science and Technology professionals who could competed in the local, national and global settings.

Specifically, the College of Science and Technology aims to:

  • Provide students with an academic atmosphere vital and conducive to their intellectual, moral and socio-cultural development for personal and professional growth.
  • Provide the students a solid foundation in the breeder and engineering sciences essential for careers in industry, research and other service oriented-profession.
  • Develop in students the spirit of scientific inquiry, proficiency in manipulative skills and the ability to solve problems, address issues intelligently and scientifically.
  • Prepare students for leadership in the practice of their profession and to be globally competitive in their chosen field of profession.
  • Instill in students a deep sense of responsibility and commitment to self, society, and God bases on Christian love and social justice for the promotion of national development international understanding.
  • Imbue students with strong Marist tradition of education emphasizing respect for the dignity of work and the great value of the person.
