The College of Liberal Arts program aims to facilitate (a) the integral development of persons and (b) the communal development of the college as a whole, to enable them to affect changes in themselves and their environment and to realize the fullness of human life.

The program is geared towards preparation of the students for responsible leadership, and for creative as well as useful membership in society.

It also aim to introduce the students to a particular field of specialization suited to their own talents and goals, and develop competence in their chosen field of study necessary for immediate gainful employment, for meaningful service to the community and for further training beyond the baccalaureate degree.

Specifically, the courses offer the students a broad general education in humanities, natural sciences, mathematics and social sciences which aims to develop:

  • critical thinking, effective communication skill and sound judgment.
  • the appreciation for human values and cultural heritage.
  • the ability to identify, investigate and analyze questions and problems carefully and to present their results and ideas clearly on the basis of solid data and study, and to offer possible solutions.
  • Christian attitudes, habits and ideals, for their improvement as human beings.

The program aims to develop concerned, responsible and nationalistic Filipinos who are conscious of the social and economic needs for their community and who can contribute their Christian social ideals to the socio-economic and cultural growth of the locality.
