Pathways-Mindanao Celebrates 3rd Anniversary

February 2007 marks Pathways to Higher Education’s is third year in making a difference in Mindanao through its education development programs.

Pathways mobilizes college students who serve as volunteers in gearing up public high school students for college through its programs like enrichment in basic academic subjects, computer literacy, and self-enhancement workshops.

With the goal of raising the awareness of the NDMU community about its programs and to raise funds as well, Pathways conducted several activities on February 12-17, as its weeklong celebration of its third anniversary.

In the opening program held at the Pathways office, student volunteers and the beneficiaries of Pathways’ programs gave testimonies of their experiences, telling how the organization has helped them by giving them opportunities to learn, grow, and enjoy.

In response, Sandra Mae Bonrustro, Project Officer for Education Development, said, “Mindanao Pathways is doing well because of the effort that the volunteers put into the project.

Now that we are on our third year, I fervently hope that more volunteers would be able to join us in our effort to fast track quality education.”

Other activities include Booth and Exhibit (Harana & Roses, Food Sale, and Merchandise Sale), Radio Shows in DXKI 1062 kHz, “Loving Still: Love is in the Air Part 2” Concert, and an Educational Tour for its beneficiaries.
