On May 15, 2019, faculty members of the Notre Dame of Marbel University attended the Orientation on Introduction, Method, Results and Discussion (IMRaD) and American Psychological Association (APA) Format at the Alumni Center.
Educators from different colleges and departments listened to Ms. Mary Jane G. Barluado, the resource speaker, while she was sharing tips on writing research, formatting citations, and discussing possible research designs the participants may undertake.
With Barluado’s exposure on conducting several scientific studies and imparting knowledge to the research community, she spearheads on boosting the research capacities of the University of Immaculate Conception where she is currently employed.

In 2017, she won the Best Abstract Award on the International Conference on Education and Technology.
Prof. Leann Jester Rosali, the principal of the university’s Senior High School Department, closed the orientation and reminded her fellow faculty members to embrace the hardships and rewards of discovery through research.
