Notre Dame of Marbel University Computer Center provides quality services responsive to and meeting the information and computerization needs of both the academic community and the various administrative units in the university as well as South Cotabato and its environs.
Within the structure of the center is the Champagnat Center of Information Technology (CCIT) whose special function is the development of the wide area network using ATM technology running on a fiber optic backbone and a Dialup interconnections of local area network for the University and other line subscribers for the Internet.
Currently, it has a capability for Voice over IP (VoIP) applications and its backbone is now on gigabit.
As CHED’s Center of Development for Excellence in Information Technology in Region XI, and alongside the fast-paced development of the City of Koronadal and SOCSKSARGEN (South Cotabato, Sultan Kudarat, Sarangani, General Santos City) area, the Computer Center is continually expanding its facilities and services all over the City of Koronadal, and the Province of South Cotabato.
Currently, the center is embarking on the development of e-learning modules which would be accessed online and tied up with Dole, Philippines for corporate IT work as part of the Industry-Academe linkage program. |
