MASTER OF ARTS IN EDUCATION PROGRAMS

The Education Program addresses itself to post-tertiary training of teachers and school administrators. It offers programs at the masters and doctoral levels. Specifically, the Education Program aims to:

  1. develop pedagogical skills and deepining of curriculum content for teachers at the elementary, secondary, collegiate and post-tertiary levels;
  2. develop research skills for practical aaplication to education concerns and for the advancement of knowledge;
  3. engage in research and publication for the benifit of public and private education in its area os service.

The Master's Program aims at providing the students with:

  1. pedagogical training appropriate to the specific level of professional work of the student-clientele;
  2. management training for suitable engagement in school administration;
  3. skills to integrate praxis and research results in teaching to upgrade tha level and quality of instructions.

The Master of Arts in Education is graduate program geared basically for the professional advancement of teachers and other educators. Specifically it aims to develop competent teachers in Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Filipino, Guidance and Couseling, Mathematics, Religious Education, Physical Education and English. MAEd graduates in educational management program could become school administrators and directors of school based programs while graduates of MAEd in Guidance and Counseling program could well serve as directors of school guidance centers as well as prefessional guidance counselors.
